The product is very accurate. I love the NaturallySpeaking software. Training the software was a breeze. I had no trouble installing the software. I swear that I'm not going to make any keyboard editing for this review. I'm using NaturallySpeaking to provide this feedback, so you'll be the judge for its quality. This is one of the best products have purchased in recent memory. I've already used the software on numerous occasions, and had to make only minor changes during editing.
BUT There is a SERVICE PACK 1 update that ALL Nuance to has created for ALL version of this program, to make it even more effective. A must have in my opinion. My best friend (Google) helped me find the correct URL to download their "Service Pack 1" to upgrade all versions of Dragon 8 9 10 except Dragon 10 essentials.Hope this helps you out. AND IS NOT THE STANDARD VERSION.IF YOUR GOING TO BUY DRAGON 10 - BUY IT HERE AT AMAZON,(NOT AT A RETAIL STORE) PURCHASE "STANDARD" "PREFERRED" "PROFESSIONIAL" You can also go directly into Walmart and buy Nuance Dragon 10 "Essentials" version for exactly $40.00 - They did not carry "standard" or the upgraded "prefered" version. This program is awesome and almost to good to be true.
DRAGON "ESSENTIALS IS NOT THE SAME AS "STANDARD" IT IS NOT SUPPORTED BY NUANCE, TO RECEIVE UPDATES, DOWNLOADS ETC. provide by Nuance.You can buy the Nuance Dragon 10 "Essentials" Walmart. It has a upgrade for Vista users and also versions 8,9,and 10 - The FREE UPGRADE TO 10.1 For some reason it is almost impossible to get this direct download from there main website (even though they show it) - Come to find out, Nuance does NOT support upgrades, updates for Dragon 10 Essentials. I can't believe how fast it started to recognize my voice. DO NOT BUY "DRAGON ESSENTIALS" FROM TARGET OR WALMART.
So if you have or haven't bought Dragon 10 yet, I would recommend downloading the FREE UPGRADE to 10.1. and as far as my personal review, 5 stars all the way.
I got this for my girlfriend that has MD and it works great. It is also great for anyone that types often.
This enables her to speak into the mic and the computer does the typing. Bought this program for my daughter in law who is studying Psychology in college and has lots of papers to write. She is thrilled with it.
Amazon didn't have the chart down below the description when I ordered the Standard Version last week, so as not to cause you any grief if you plan on using a voice recorder, I thought I'd write this short review. Just a quick note to let you know that you will need to upgrade to the Dragon Naturally Speaking 10 PREFERRED version if you plan on using a digital voice recorder with this. Once I found this out, I returned the software without opening it.
